Job Description

The Production Assistant will be responsible for the operation of all event related production equipment in Lenovo Center.

Job Responsibilities

• Operation of house audio and lighting systems for hockey, basketball and other events
• Setup, tear down and operation of portable sound systems for auxiliary events
• Setup and tear down of sports scoring equipment
• Operation of audio & presentation equipment for non-ticketed events.

Examples of equipment used include

• Digital and analog audio mixers.
• Conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures & controls.
• LCD Projectors, televisions, DVD players.
• Wired & wireless microphones, handheld & body-worn.
• Party-line communication systems/intercoms.
• Spotlights

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour Qualifications

• Candidate must have prior experience as a sound engineer/AV technician in a live event setting.
• Associates degree in communications or extensive related fieldwork preferred.
• Must have ability to stay alert and observant of surroundings and be able to interact with public, peers and superiors in a positive and professional manner.
• Must be a self-starter and able to follow instructions and work without supervision for extended periods of time.
• Physical requirements include ability to stand for long periods of time, running cables in confined spaces, climb stairs, and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
• Must be available to work based on booked events; primarily nights and weekends, some holidays.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
